Tracking itself can stay on the Mac without an account. Sign in when you want cloud AI, a public profile, leaderboard totals, or the paid device-sync preview.
Free keeps automatic tracking, the timeline, and daily review on this Mac. Classification can run on-device, through your own API key, or at a custom endpoint. No account is required for that path.
Pro is the customer-facing name for the individual Drifty Cloud plan. It includes the Free surfaces, then adds hosted cloud classification that is more accurate on ambiguous work than the on-device model. There are no local model downloads or keys to manage. Cloud AI classification covers up to 2 Macs, with a 7-day free trial.
Pricing in the app is $5 / month or $4 / month billed yearly. Manage billing from Settings → Account.
What still stays local
Section titled “What still stays local”Signing in does not publish the timeline. Cloud AI still sees only minimized classification fields. Device sync remains a separate opt-in preview. Public profile and leaderboard publishing stay aggregate-only.
